- Can I still participate in the competition if I missed both training sessions?
Yes, you can still participate. After 22 May 2026, an online pitching training video will be available on pitch.usm.my. Participants may watch the video and submit a declaration confirming that they have accessed the website and viewed the training.
- Will I receive a certificate if I only watch the online video? No, certificates of participation will not be issued for participants who only watch the recorded video.
- Do I need to provide evidence that I have watched the online video? Yes, a statement form is available here. The completed form must be uploaded in place of the certificate of participation.
- Who is eligible to receive a certificate of participation? Certificates will only be issued to participants who attend one of the official training sessions:
- Physical session: 18 May 2026
- Online session: 22 May 2026, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM (online Webex link) https://usm-cmr.webex.com/usm-cmr/j.php?MTID=mbe3d1f7a61005d82f326b96d2df05571
- How many members are allowed in a team? Each team can have a maximum of 4 members.
- Can a team include members who are not from USM? No. Participation is strictly limited to the USM community only (current students and staff).
- Can I join as an individual? Yes, you may participate either as an individual or as part of a team.
- What is the duration of the presentation video? 2 to 3 minutes.
- Can my presentation video be in Bahasa Malaysia? Yes, the presentation video can be in Bahasa Malaysia, English or a combination of both languages.
- Is there a specific topic for my presentation video? No. You may pitch any type of business.
